College in STEM awards mix

Comet Bay College has been named a finalist in this years Governor’s School STEM Awards.

The college is one of 10 primary and secondary schools in the State announced as finalists in the awards.

The awards celebrate excellence in leadership, advocacy, engagement and achievements in science, technology, engineering and mathematics education. Comet Bay College associate principal Phil Casas said the school’s nomination was a great acknowledgement of the work students and teachers were producing.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony at Government House on November 26.
