Work from five different artists will be displayed at Smirk Cottage in Medina at the beginning of next month, in a new exhibition titled Art in the Park.

The exhibition will run across two days, from November 2 to 3, with about 60 artworks of various sizes predicted to be on display.

Kwinana Heritage Group member John Richardson helped organise the event along with several other members of the group and will also have some of his artwork included in the exhibition.

He said the idea to host an art exhibition in a park was something very new to the area.

“It is rather unique for the area, we do not have a lot of things similar to this going on around here,” he said.

“On the first day we will have someone open the event for us and we will have wine and cheese for people to enjoy as well.”

Mr Richardson said he was proud to have helped organise the event and hoped many members of the community would head along.
