Disgraced Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, formerly a prince, has reportedly been kicked out of his home by the King in the middle of the night.

Andrew had already been given marching orders to leave Royal Lodge by his brother, King Charles III, but an early exit has reportedly taken place, just days after damning new Epstein file documents were released.

The Sun reported that Andrew “skulked out” of Royal Lodge in the dark of night on Monday night.

It is believed that the former prince was driven from Royal Lodge to Sandringham under the cover of darkness to avoid being seen.

Andrew, who is being urged to testify before the US Congress over his relationship to convicted paedophile and disgraced movie financier Jeffrey Epstein, reportedly slept at Wood Farm Cottage on the Norfolk estate.

The lodging at Wood Farm is understood to be temporary. It was previously revealed that the disgraced member of the royal family would begin a new life at Marsh Farm in April once renovations were complete.

The brutal, swift removal is believed to have been executed from the very top, with sources claiming King Charles was growing more concerned about Andrew and the Epstein files.

Andrew’s friend breaks silence

“He had planned to cling on at Royal Lodge a little longer but with the latest batch of Epstein files it was made clear to him that it was time to go,” The Sun reported that a friend of Andrew said.

“Leaving was so humiliating for him that he chose to do it under the cover of darkness.

“He didn’t want to have a big emotional goodbye even though Royal Lodge is a place where he had so many family memories.

“Theoretically he could have stayed until Marsh Farm was ready but the headlines were only getting worse.

“Also, the fact he’s been seen driving around Windsor laughing and looking like he hasn’t a care in the world hasn’t gone down well with the Royal Household.”

Renewed pressure on Andrew

In the last few weeks, Andrew’s relationship with Epstein, who committed suicide in a US jail cell, has been thrust back into the spotlight. New photos and emails have been revealed in the latest batch of files released, a trove of three million pages.

British police are investigating allegations that a “beautiful” 26-year-old Russian woman was sent to the UK for a sexual encounter with Andrew.

Lawyers representing the woman have urged the King to contact them following allegations that their client was sent to the UK for a sexual encounter with his brother.

Brad Edwards, from the US firm Edwards Henderson, previously told the BBC his client had spent the night with Andrew after being given a tour of Buckingham Palace.

“We are aware of reports about a woman said to have been taken to an address in Windsor in 2010 for sexual purposes,” a Thames Valley Police spokesperson said.

“We are assessing the information in line with our established procedures.

“We take any reports of sexual crimes extremely seriously and encourage anyone with information to come forward.

“At this time, these allegations have not been reported to Thames Valley Police by either the lawyer or their client.”

Andrew features a number of times in the documents, which were released by the US Department of Justice on Friday, including images showing him crouching over an unidentified woman in what appears to be Epstein’s New York mansion.

The former prince and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson appear in email exchanges with Epstein, with Mountbatten-Windsor appearing to invite him to Buckingham Palace, and Ferguson saying: “I am at your service. Just marry me”.

The email exchange reveals Epstein also offers to introduce Andrew to a woman described by the pedophile as “26, Russian, clevere (sic) beautiful, trustworthy”, while in the same month, Mountbatten-Windsor also tells Epstein: “Wish I was still a pet in your family”.

Andrew vehemently denies any wrongdoing.

In 2022, the former duke paid millions of pounds to his main accuser, Virginia Giuffre - a woman he claims never to have met.

Andrew stripped of titles

King Charles formally stripped Andrew of his remaining titles in October 2025, and issued notice foricng him to move out of the Royal Lodge after the posthumous publication of a book from Giuffre, who alleged she was trafficked by Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell when she was 17.

The Palace announced in October that Andrew will lose his “prince” title and “move to alternative private accommodation”.

“His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew,” a statement from Buckingham Palace read.

“Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.

“His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.

“Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.

“These censures are deemed necessary, notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him.

“Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse”.

Andrew gave up his other royal titles earlier in October, including the Duke of York, after more questions about his private life and connection with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
