Westerly Family Centre is hosting a free women’s health and wellbeing morning on Thursday, September 5 in celebration of Women’s Health Week.

The event, hosted in partnership with the Warnbro Community and Family Centre and the City of Rockingham, will highlight the services available for women’s health and wellbeing in Rockingham and surrounding areas.

Westerly Family Centre co-ordinator Tanya Miller said the aim of this event was to increase women’s awareness of what services are available in the local area and how to access them.

Warnbro Community and Family Centre’s Natalie Mclaren said it was also important to understand the physical, social, emotional, mental and sexual side of women’s health and wellbeing — all which would be represented on the day.

Breast Screen WA, South Coastal Women’s Health Service and several other services will take part and provide information and short talks focused on women’s health issues. Free activities, coffee and morning tea will also be available.

The Rockingham women’s health and wellbeing morning will be held on September 5 at the Westerly Family Centre in Cooloongup from 9.30-11.30am.
