Shoalwater business owners Nikki and Adam King were recognised among the best tourism operators in WA recently, with their business Walk into Luxury taking home gold at the Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards.

Specialising in private and small luxury group walking tours on the Cape to Cape Track and Bibbulmun Track, Walk into Luxury collected the top award in the Tour and Transport Operator category.

Ms King said winning the award was a proud achievement for the business, which started in September 2014 with just one employee and had grown to include 11 staff and contractors including several Margaret River tour guides.

“The Tour and Transport Operator category is one of the most competitive categories, which made the win that much more special as we know the calibre of the other finalists,” she said.

In winning gold at the awards Walk into Luxury had to fend off competition from the likes of Ningaloo Discovery, Adventure Wild Kimberley Tours and Cape to Cape Explorer Tours.

Ms King said their attention to detail, standard of inclusions and genuine care for guests helped them stand out from the competition.

The win means the couple will now go on to represent WA at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in February 2018.

“We are very proud to fly the flag for WA at the nationals,” Ms King said.

“We believe WA has some of the best tourism products and destinations in Australia.”
