Kwinana put its best foot forward on the weekend, raising more than $59,000 for cancer research.

Kwinana Relay for Life participants set off for 24 hours of walking at Calista oval on Friday night, shining a light on cancer research.

Cancer survivors and carers were honoured after the first lap, followed by a candlelight tribute for loved ones who have died.

The committee are already preparing for next year’s event, which will be held at Calista Oval on October 5 and 6, 2019.
