Three people have been charged following an incident in Cooloongup last month where a man was allegedly shot at, held against his will and assaulted.

About 5.50pm on Wednesday, February 15, four people allegedly attended an address in Toora Place and confronted the male resident.

As the man looked to flee, police claim that a number of gun shots were fired before the victim was forced into the boot of a vehicle.

He was subsequently assaulted, receiving injuries to his head and body.

Police executed a search warrant at a home on Kingscliffe Drive in Golden Bay on Wednesday, arresting two 24-year-old men in the process.

Both have been charged with detaining another with intent to gain a benefit and assault occasioning bodily harm

One was also charged with being armed in public to cause fear.

The pair appeared at Rockingham Magistrates Court yesterday and will reappear next Friday.

A 21-year-old Dalyellup woman was also arrested in Bunbury yesterday and charged with detaining another with intent to gain a benefit and assault occasioning bodily harm.

She was refused bail and is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court today.
