Stage and screen star Naomi Price is bringing smash hit Rumour Has It to WA for the first time.

The show, based on superstar Adele, charts the incredible rise of modern music’s biggest star and will grace Koorliny Arts Centre stage this Friday.

Price describes the show as stand-up comedy with Adele songs and plenty of highlights including her rendition of Skyfall and Hello.

“It’s kind of like having a gin and tonic with your best friend — it’s the music of Adele brought to life in this funny, bawdy way — it makes a lot of comments on the nature of celebrity and what’s happening in the world,” she said.

Originally from the UK, Price lived in Brighton at the same time as Adele, describing herself as “just the girl that does a show about her life”.

“I think the thing I admire most about her is the fact that she makes no apologies for who she is; she is totally comfortable in her own skin and I think that is really difficult in this day and age,” she said.

“I think celebrities find it really hard to be themselves whereas Adele just does not care. She is happy in her own skin and I think that is something to be admired and I look up to her as such a strong female role model.”

Price lives in Brisbane when not touring nationally and has plans to move to Sydney later this year to join the cast of Carole King’s musical Beautiful.
