Rockingham Senior High School students raised $500 for the Royal Flying Doctor Service in memory of the school’s former associate principal Justin Davies, who died earlier this year while prospecting in the Mid-West.

Funds were raised through a free-dress day organised by the school captains.

School captains Joshua Gray and Caitlin Evans said the donation was a way of honouring Mr Davis.

“We wanted to do something for the family and to show how much Mr Davies was loved and respected by the students,” Caitlin said.

Royal Flying Doctor Service local area marketing coordinator Michelle Grant visited the school last week to accept the donation.

She thanked the school and complimented the students on their fundraising efforts.
