Throwing yourself out of a plane at any age is a daunting thought, but Port Kennedy resident Brian Phoebe decided to do so to mark his 90th birthday.

Mr Phoebe turned 90 last Friday, August 23, and the next day he jumped out of a plane at 4600m.

After hearing about a person who had sky dived for the first time for their 88th birthday, he decided he’d like to give it a go.

“I thought I could do the same and try it,” he said.
