Bertram’s Shania Kent represented WA as part of the Tennis West team at the second annual National Indigenous Tennis Carnival held in Darwin last week.

The 11-year-old, who plays for the Kwinana Tennis Club, was selected to compete in the Fast4 Green Ball Teams Competition.

More than 180 participants travelled to Darwin for the carnival including just 10 players from WA.

The event aims to transition promising indigenous tennis players to a tournament pathway.

Team WA returned victorious, winning both Green Ball Teams events and finishing third overall in the State vs State Ash Barty Cup.
