Police are asking the public for information after a fight outside a Secret Harbour pub left a man with serious head injuries last month.

An incident occurred at a bar on Oasis Drive in Secret Harbour on Friday, February 24 between 11pm and 11.25pm.

A 21-year-old man was standing on the pathway at the front of the premises when he became involved in a physical altercation with another man that was not known to him.

Police say the victim was punched and fell backwards, hitting his head on the pavement.

The man received serious head injuries and was taken to Royal Perth Hospital by ambulance.

Police say they believe several people were in the vicinity at the time of the incident and have called for witnesses to come forward.
