Rotary grant to aid non-profits

Sound Telegraph

Not-for-profit organisations, individuals and sporting clubs in the Rockingham community are being encouraged to apply for a grant of up to $30,000 from the Rotary Club of Rockingham.

The club has been supporting City organisations through the Community Service Grant for about 10 years.

The grant is made possible by donations collected at Rotary’s Sunday markets.

Community director Peter Philipps said the committee, which made the final decision, was proud to “give back” to the local commun-ity.

“Sometimes the full amount won’t go just to one body, it can get divided up between organisations,” he said.

“The money has increased each year.

“The first year we started with a $5000 grant; last year it was $25,000 and this year it’s $30,000.”

Applications close on March 31.

Application forms are available at rotaryclubofrockinghamwa.org.
