The Rotary Club of Rockingham is supporting recovery efforts in flood-ravaged North Queensland by donating funds from two Sunday markets to the Townsville victims.

The club will donate money raised from vendor fees on Sunday, March 17 and March 24 directly to the appeal through the South Townsville Rotary Club.

Rotarian Peter Philipps encouraged the community to support the recovery efforts by attending the markets and making a donation on the day.

“We are hoping the community will donate knowing 100 per cent of the funds will go directly where they are needed,” he said.

The Rotary Mart is open from 6am, held at the Village Green along Kent Street in Rockingham.
