Rockingham boat ramp upgrade work complete

Sound Telegraph

The City of Rockingham has announced that work to upgrade and maintain the Palm Beach boat ramps located off the Esplanade has been completed.

The upgrades have included sub-frame and fixing maintenance, hardstand ramp crack repairs, sand excavation, kerbing maintenance and upgrading the rock armour.

The work was completed a month ahead of schedule and within the $250,000 allocated budget.

Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels said the City strived to complete the work before summer.

“These boat ramps experience heavy usage during the peak summer boating season and I am pleased works have been completed early for our recreational boat users,” he said.

“Several items required maintenance to avoid deterioration and potential damage. The City thanks residents for their patience while we completed the required works.”
