Port Kennedy man charged after crashing car into Warnbro home

An 18-year-old Port Kennedy man has been charged after crashing his ute into a home in Warnbro overnight.

About 11pm, a Holden Commodore ute was travelling along Glenelg Close Warnbro when the driver lost control and crashed into a house.

The home was unoccupied at the time and no one was injured. The driver ran away and was later apprehended at a home in Warnbro.

The 18-year-old was charged with driving with an alcohol limit exceeding 0.05g per 100ml of blood and failing to report an incident in which property was damaged.

He is due to appear in Rockingham Magistrates Court on September 18.
