Kwinana Police are investigating an incident that left a 35-year-old man with facial injuries.

About 7pm last Friday, July 6, the man and a friend were driving in a red Hyundai i30 GD series from Rockingham to Perth and noticed a silver Hyundai travelling very close behind them and flashing its headlights.

The man stopped his car at a red light at the intersection of Thomas and Rockingham roads in Kwinana Beach when a man from the silver Hyundai exited the vehicle. The victim exited his car and a verbal exchange took place before the victim was assaulted, receiving facial injuries.

Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the incident, particularly a man in a work vehicle who stopped to assist the victim.

Anyone with any information, or who was travelling in the area around the above time and has any dash cam footage of the incident, can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au.
