Rockingham police are appealing for witnesses after a young woman had her phone stolen in an alleged robbery on Dixon Road last week.

Police say the woman was walking from Challenger TAFE towards the Rockingham Train Station at about 2.30pm on Tuesday, September 19, when she was grabbed by an unknown man.

During the alleged incident she was knocked to the floor and had her white Apple iPhone stolen, before the man fled towards the train station.

He is described as being between 17-19 years old, 175cm tall, with tanned skin.

Police say he was wearing a black hoody, grey pants and white shoes.

Anyone who may have seen the incident or have any information is asked to call Rockingham Detectives Office on 9550 1407.
