Pharmacy wins awards

Waikiki Discount Drug Store has enjoyed success throughout 2017, with the pharmacy winning four major awards over the course of the year.

The hardworking team, led by owners Branka Janosevic and Nerida Gardner, collected the Discount Drug Store pharmacy of the year award as they fended off competition from 144 other stores around Australia.

They also took out national marketing and compliance awards this year, with dispensary pharmacy assistant Penny Caine also tasting success after she was named the pharmacy assistant of the year.

Ms Janosevic said it was fantastic to see the 24 staff members at Waikiki Discount Drug Store receive recognition for all their hard work.

“I believe this is a really good team,” Ms Janosevic said.

“It’s a really compact team, everyone has their own responsibilities, they really help each other and obviously they are getting excellent results.

“It’s very nice to get the recognition for the hard work.”

Waikiki Discount Drug Store has been serving the community since 2006 and has won 12 awards over the years. In addition to operating an award-winning pharmacy, Waikiki Discount Drug Store also holds “walk and talk” sessions with seniors at the Autumn Centre in Rockingham.

With a recent renovation and refit of the dispensary at the pharmacy, Ms Janosevic said the team was focused on continuing to provide an award-winning service in 2018.
