A couple have appeared in Rockingham Magistrate’s Court charged with possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property after they were allegedly caught with 72 post parcels late last year.

During the man and woman’s appearance, the court was told between October 1 and December 31, 2017, the couple were found with the parcels, which contained various items including electronics, clothing and cosmetics.

The man and woman both pleaded not guilty to the charges and will appear in court in January.

During the hearing, the couple had the assistance of an interpreter, but after speaking with the accused, Magistrate Leanne Atkins said she did not believe they needed an interpreter for their trial allocation date and refused to grant their application.
