New store celebrated
Bunnings in Baldivis officially opened to big celebrations last week, with Australian Paralympian Brant Garvey joining local team members to launch the new store.
The new warehouse, which covers more than 13,000sqm, opened its doors with a soft launch on April 21 before hosting an official opening ceremony last Tuesday.
Located on the corner of Safety Bay Road and Baldivis Road, the new warehouse opened to much fanfare, with locals delighted to see a new business open after Woolworths-owned Masters shut its doors in the same location more than a year ago.
Complex manager Darren Feenstra praised his team for working to fit out the store extensively in less than a month and said they were excited to lend a helping hand to the community.
“Team members have supported a number of community groups already, working together to provide assistance in local community projects such as creating a kitchen area for students from the Baldivis Primary School to enjoy, renovating the outdoor living area for Baldivis Volunteer Fire and Rescue volunteers, and upgrading the existing garden area for Tranby College students,” he said.
