Landcorp has said it will not seek the enforcement of a move-on notice while a “satisfactory resolution” is being developed regarding the camp of homeless people in Rockingham.

It was reported people living at the camp had been issued with a move-on notice because of the camp’s location near industry.

LandCorp industrial lands authority general manager Andrew Williams said complaints from nearby industrial tenants had been received about the camp, and that as a heavy industrial area, it was unsafe for occupation.

However, Mr Williams said Landcorp last week met “social support organisations, local and State Government agencies and homelessness advocates to discuss the situation in Rockingham”.
