Work has begun at Rockingham Bowling Club with the surface of its two greens to be replaced.

Several members volunteered their time on Sunday, March 31, to begin the refurbishment, with work continuing this month.

Running since the 1940s, the club offers competitive and community bowls and is a valued part of the Rockingham community.

Member Tony Ashton said new members were welcome, with “no strangers at the club, only friends that have not been met yet”.

The club thanked sponsors who made the refurbishment project possible.
