Man appears in Rockingham Court for stealing

A man accused of stealing more than $13,000 in cash and goods from his employer has appeared in court.
The man appeared in Rockingham Magistrate’s Court on Monday charged with 28 counts of stealing as a servant and one count of gaining benefit by fraud.
The court was told between July and December last year, the man was working at a pawnbroker in Rockingham where he allegedly stole on several occasions.
He also allegedly stole items from his employer’s own stock, including an electric guitar, two acoustic guitars, a case and tools worth $1500.
He did not enter a plea.
The case was adjourned so he could seek further legal advice.
