Lolly Run spreads festive fun

Sound Telegraph

Volunteers will make their way through every neighbourhood in Kwinana on Christmas Day next week, in the communities annual Lolly Run.

Now in its 65th year, the event is coordinated with the support of the Rotary Club of Kwinana.

City of Kwinana mayor Carol Adams, one of the Lolly Run volunteers, said the yearly tradition was one the community loved.

“We are really pleased to be able to continue the annual Kwinana Lolly Run in 2019,” she said.

“As with every other year, children can expect to see groups of local volunteers riding through the streets in colourfully decorated sleighs, trucks and utes, delivering lollies and festive cheer to all Kwinana families,” she said.

“Dozens of volunteers also put their hands up each year to help organise and bag the lollies in preparation for the Lolly Run and the children of Kwinana greatly appreciate the results of their efforts.”
