Baldivis Leo Club is on the hunt for new young members who are passionate about their community and want to help bring change to issues that matter to them.

The club, sponsored by the Baldivis Lions Club, is open to youth aged 12 to 18.

Baldivis Leo’s Club adviser Debbie Tierney said the aim of the club was to engage young people with the community in a positive way.

“They are getting satisfaction out of helping out and doing things in the local community,” she said.

“The club promotes leadership, experience and opportunities, and these values are developed over time through involvement in activities, services and projects.”

Formed on May 22, the club is still rather fresh and is looking to build it’s membership.

The group meets fortnightly on Wednesday evenings at the Mary Davies Library and Community Centre.
