A 47-year-old Waikiki woman who came forward to claim the $ 1 million Saturday lotto ticket on October 7 was the fourth Division 1 lotto winner in Rockingham and Kwinana this year.

The winning ticket, which was sold at Rockingham Central Lottery Centre, was the State’s 53rd Division 1 winner for 2017, with an anxious wait following the draw before the winner came forward.

Lotterywest spokeswoman Chloe Lawler said the region had already produced the same number of division one winners as last year.

“Just 10 months into 2017, the area has already matched its 2016 record of four Division 1 wins,” Ms Lawler said.

“With two months to go before the end of the year, and off the back of such an incredible run of Lotto luck, we certainly hope to see this number grow.

“Rockingham and Kwinana have produced four Division 1 wins so far this year with residents taking home just over $4 million in prize money.

“The suburbs have also produced three top-prize Scratch’n’- Win tickets worth a combined half a million dollars.”

The biggest Division 1 win in the area so far this year saw two self-described battlers, both aged in their 60s, pick up $1.33 million in February.
