Two men have been charged for reckless driving after allegedly evading police in Kwinana this morning.

Around 8am, police claim officers were patrolling Kwinana when they observed a Holden Commodore with false plates travelling along Wellard Road.

Police allege the vehicle failed to stop and continued along Meares Avenue before entering a shopping centre car park. The vehicle is said to have hit a kerb before driving through other Kwinana streets.

A cyclist allegedly fell off his bike due to the men’s erratic driving. The vehicle is believed to have stopped on Nottingham Parkway where the men were arrested.

A 40-year-old Medina man was charged with failing to stop, reckless driving and not having authority to drive.

He will appear at Rockingham Magistrates Court on February 14.

A 31-year-old Orelia man was charged with possessing a vehicle with forged or replicated number plates and will appear in court at a later date.
