Kwinana Knights Football Club has welcomed upgrades to facilities at Medina Oval with lighting being installed at their home base.

The City of Kwinana allocated $300,000 to the upgrade in the 2017-2018 budget, while the State Government has handed over an additional $150,000 to the project. The upgrade will include installation of four 30m-high SMS-controlled light towers. Completion is scheduled for late January.

Kwinana Knights Football Club’s Darren Taylor said the lights would help to cater for increasing female interest in the sport.
