Rockingham Senior High School Education Support Centre was a finalist in the Hospitality Group Training Schools Partnership Awards.

The awards night was held at the RAC Arena on November 18 and recognised the work partner schools such as the Education Support Centre do for the hospitality industry, by inspiring the next generation of chefs, hospitality workers, hotel managers and industry leaders.

Rockingham Senior High School associate principal Caroline Mason said staff had done a fantastic job with students studying Certificate I and II in Hospitality.

“The relationship between the education support centre and and Hospitality Group Training embraces inclusivity and innovation,” she said.

“Often both groups of staff have been called upon for their expertise and high-quality teaching to modify course work, content and occasionally equipment or techniques.

“Our special education needs students can access both the theoretical and practical aspects of the courses whilst still maintaining high standards of training and assessment.”
