The Rockingham beach foreshore will be a hub of activity on February 8, when the City hosts its first street festival.

The festival is part of the Summer Series and will feature two music stages, amusement rides, circus workshops, market stalls, roaming performances and a chill-out zone. It will run from 5pm to 9pm.

Families will enjoy live entertainment from HI-NRG, Ross Vegas, Freedom Fairies, buskers, Breakthrough Music Competition finalists and more.

Rockingham Mayor Barry Sammels encouraged the community to get involved.

“The City’s Summer Series program is the ideal opportunity for families to get out and rediscover Rockingham and we are delighted to be able to offer the community this chance with our first ever Street Festival,” Mr Sammels said.

“The street festival will include a variety of entertainment options for people of all ages. With the foreshore looking spectacular following completion of the revitalisation last year, this event is another great opportunity for residents to enjoy our premier beachside location with family and friends.”
