Discount German supermarket chain Aldi is set to open a new store in Baldivis in mid-2019.

The 1850sqm Aldi supermarket is expected to open at Stockland Baldivis Shopping Centre located near the children’s play area between Kmart and Woolworths.

Shoppers will be able to enjoy Aldi’s low prices and popular special buys, together with fresh fruit, vegetables and bread delivered daily.

Combined with the recent openings of a new Rivers store and relocated Red Dot, about 40 jobs have been created at the shopping centre.

Stockland Baldivis centre manager Darin Maher said he was thrilled to be introducing the new retailer to the centre and looked forward to expanding the retail offerings to meet the wants and needs of the community.

“We recently celebrated the arrival of Rivers at the centre and have already received a great deal of positive feedback from our customers,” he said.

“We are also looking forward to welcoming Aldi next year and are confident that the much-loved German grocery store chain will make an excellent addition to our existing centre offering.”

The Sound Telegraph understands the Aldi store will occupy the former Red Dot space combined with those of Best & Less, Ollie’s Place and Mrs Fields which will be closed to accommodate the move.
