Down South Therapy celebrated International Day of People with a Disability with a family fun day on Sunday, December 2.

The mobile therapy service, which provides occupational therapy, speech pathology and physiotherapy in the Rockingham, Kwinana and Peel areas, hosted a community fun day to celebrate the year, the achievements of children and adults living with a disability and those who are in their lives.

Held at Peel Manor House, the not-for-profit event attracted more than 300 guests.

Families enjoyed carnival activities including a bouncy castle, water slide, dunking tank, petting and reptile farm, face painting and visits from Santa, Dora the Explorer and Paint Rockingham READ mascot Widi the Penguin.

Down South Therapy and occupational therapist Jodie Watts said International Day of People with a Disability was important in recognising and celebrating the achievements of all individuals in the community and their families.
