A charity soccer match between members of FC Shoalwater will be held next week to raise money for Naragebup.

The club will again put on its annual Boxing Day match next Wednesday, where its Scottish and English players will go head-to-head. FC Shoalwater committee member Craig Baxter said the club had chosen to support Naragebup after it was targeted by thieves earlier this year.

“It’s a local place run by volunteers and we wanted to do what we could to help them,” he said.

Naragebup chairwoman Barbara Sciesinski said she was thankful for any help received.

“It helps us to raise necessary funds and awareness of the centre,” she said.

“It’s great that the club thought of us and wanted to help.”

The Scotland v England Boxing Day Match will be held at Shoalwater Oval, with kick-off at noon.

There will also be a sausage sizzle, a bar and cool drinks, as well as activities for the kids.
