The City of Rockingham says users of the Aqua Jetty in Warnbro will not be affected after the management of the facility is brought in-house on July 1.

Mayor Barry Sammels said it would be business as usual for Aqua Jetty patrons, who could expect the same range of programs and services to be offered at the City’s premier leisure facility.

“Taking over the day-to-day management of the Aqua Jetty is the City’s preferred business model,” he said.

“We believe local government is highly experienced in this type of operation and we are looking forward to managing the Aqua Jetty in-house.”

The City has been working closely with current manager Belgravia Health and Leisure Group to ensure a smooth transition and has communicated directly with members to keep them fully informed.

“We are looking forward to continuing the wide range of aquatic and leisure services the Aqua Jetty provides to meet the recreational, health and wellbeing needs of the Rockingham community,” Mayor Sammels said

“All of the popular programs, swimming lessons and group exercise classes will continue, delivered by the Aqua Jetty’s friendly and professional staff. This will ensure members get the most out of each visit they make to the Aqua Jetty.”
