Child scooter rider escapes injury after being hit by car in Leda

A child on a scooter has escaped serious injury after being hit by a car in Leda.

The incident happened on Gilmore Drive near Runnymede Gate in Leda about 7.45am on Tuesday.

It is understood the child, aged about eight, was riding a push scooter and was not seriously hurt.

The child was taken to Rockingham General Hospital as a precaution.
