Cantina offers funky new Mexican menu

Rockingham’s culinary options have received some spice after the Funky Mexican Cantina officially opened in Secret Harbour last week.

Owned and operated by Glenn Sell, the restaurant and bar have been busy since opening last Thursday.

“It’s going really well,” he said.

“What we have found is that so many people are coming down for takeaway — probably about one-third of our sales this week have been through takeaway.

“We are very happy.”

The Funky Mexican Cantina also hosted the Rockingham Kwinana Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours event last week, with Mr Sell thanking the organisation for their support.

“I have been working with the Chamber of Commerce for the last 12 months and now I am a gold member,” he said.

“The Chamber have been really supportive — I announced Funky Mexican at a Business After Hours back in March and I have got a lot of bookings through the Chamber.”

Funky Mexican Cantina is based at the Secret Harbour Shopping Centre and is open from 11am to late seven days a week.
