Police claim a domestic dispute at a family gathering in Baldivis resulted in a women being stabbed and subsequently suffering a collapsed lung in the early hours of Saturday morning.

An alleged disagreement at a Coates Avenue address resulted in a 26-year-old woman being arrested and charged with grievous bodily harm.

Police allege that the accused inflicted a 4cm wound in the victim’s chest, collapsing her lung in the process. The weapon has been recovered.

The victim was taken to Royal Perth Hospital due to her injuries.

The accused will face Perth Magistrates Court on March 8.
