RSPCA Million Paws Walk

Bell Park Rockingham, Corner of Rockingham Beach Road and Wanliss Street.

Registration opens: 9am

Walk: 10am

Tails will wag next Sunday as hundreds of Rockingham residents step out with their pooches for the RSPCA Million Paws Walk.

The event is RSPCA WA’s largest annual fundraiser in the fight against animal cruelty.

This will be the second year Rockingham has hosted its own walk, organised by the City of Rockingham, the Rockingham RSPCA Auxiliary and the Rockingham Youth Advisory Council.

RSPCA WA chief executive David Vanooran said last year up to 450 residents joined the walk, raising $2000. “It is great to see the enthusiasm and passion Rockingham residents have and we are hoping to double participation this year,” he said.

Mr Vanooran said the Rockingham Million Paws Walk was tipped to be the second biggest in WA.

“It shows there are lots of great animal lovers here,” he said.
