The Angels are set to Take it to the Streets

Sound Telegraph

Relive the ’80s when The Angels perform some of their greatest hits at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre next month.

It has been 18 months since Dave Gleeson, from The Screaming Jets, joined The Angels and the boys said they have been some of the busiest and most successful months in the band’s long career.

They will perform their Take It To The Streets tour at 8pm on Friday, April 5.

The show will feature a mix of The Angels’ most popular hits with the best songs from the widely praised, new album Take It To The Streets, and some blasts from the past — songs the band hasn’t played in decades.

“Fans on our last tours told us some of the old songs they wanted to hear again, and we listened,” lead guitarist Rick Brewster said.

“The Angels have always been about giving fans the best show they’ve seen from us yet,” rhythm guitarist John Brewster said.

“Nothing’s changed there.

“The only thing that has changed is we haven’t played this well and had so much fun onstage since the 1980s.”

Tickets to The Angels: Take It To The Streets cost $60 adults and $58 FOMPAC members.
