Suspected hit-and-run car seized

Police seized a green 1997 Ford Festiva on Sunday night in Warnbro that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash on Friday.

Officers acted on information from the public and found the suspected vehicle at a residence on Knowle Way.

The vehicle had extensive damage consistent with the crash and will be forensically examined while inquiries continue to identify who was driving the vehicle.

The crash occurred about 6.45pm when a Honda motorcycle and another vehicle collided at the intersection of Warnbro Sound Avenue and Okehampton Road.

The motorcycle rider received serious injuries and was taken to hospital by St John Ambulance.

The driver of the vehicle involved failed to stop at the scene.
