Local MPs have banded together for another year to collect donations on behalf of their electorates in an effort to help those in need over the holiday period.

Warnbro MLA Paul Papalia, Rockingham MLA and Premier Mark McGowan, Kwinana MLA Roger Cook, Baldivis MLA Reece Whitby and Brand MHR Madeleine King have been collecting goods from the community each Christmas for four years.

The donations go to Coastal District Care, an emergency relief centre helping homeless and disadvantaged people in the Rockingham area.

This year Mr Papalia collected an entire boardroom of donations in one of the best years his electorate office has seen in community generosity.

“I am once again proud to support Coastal District Care for their 2021 Christmas donation drive,” Mr Papalia said.

He said the team at Coastal District Care “work tirelessly in assisting the homeless and disadvantaged in the Rockingham area”.

“Their dedication helps bring a smile to many faces in what can be an otherwise stressful time of year for some.”
