Baldivis cheerleader, model and dancer Kiara Taylor will compete for the crown of Miss Fashion Week Australia when she takes to the runway in the national final in Melbourne on Sunday.

Kiara will represent WA in the teen petite category, vying for the national title, $5000 and a trip to the US to compete in the Miss Fashion Week international final.

The Rockingham Flames and NRL Bulldogs cheerleader has a passion for dance and putting a smile on people’s faces.

The Baldivis Secondary College student is also studying a Certificate IV in Dance at Australian Performing Arts Network, recently scoring a dancing role in Legally Blonde The Musical.

“We did six shows back-to-back ... I also got to work alongside Lynne McGranger from Home and Away, which was amazing,” she said. Gearing up for the national final, Kiara said she was excited to be selected.

“(The State final) was my first pageant and I won both gym-wear and evening-wear and went straight to the final,” she said.

“I get more nervous to walk down the catwalk than I do when I’m on stage for a cheer competition but it’s good experience.

Kiara thanked her sponsors for their support.
