In a new 10-point statement, Iran’s powerful Assembly of Experts have demanded the assassination of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu, calling on followers to “send them to hell”.
The document described Mr Trump as “the criminal American president”, and described Mr Netanyahu as “the wicked prime minister of the Zionist regime”, the Telegraph reported.
The assassinations, according to the document, are a religious duty, the Assembly of Experts said.
“It is obligatory upon any duty-bound person who gains access to these criminals to send them to hell,” the statement said.
The Assembly of Experts is made up of 88 high-ranking members of the Iranian regime, the same people who are tasked with selecting the country’s supreme leader as per Iran’s constitution.
In total, 63 of the 88 members put their name to the statement calling for retaliation for the killing of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who was killed by a US-Israeli strike when war broke out.

Following the statement, but not directly replying to it, US Vice President JD Vance said that Mr Trump was still willing to drop bombs on Iran, but only if it served an objective.
Speaking to journalists on Tuesday, Mr Netanyahu said Israel would strike Iran again “if necessary”.
“If necessary, we will attack Iran for the third time,” he said.
Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has attempted to convince the world that agreements with the US have been made with the full support of the regime.
However, reports continue to emerge that the division is ripe.
Over the weekend, the IRGC released a statement that went against the terms of the fragile peace framework the US and Tehran are working on, making a nuclear vow.
The group said Iran had “no choice but to build the atomic bomb” for the country’s security.
“To achieve the peace and calm that Iran needs, it must absolutely reach nuclear deterrence to ensure that the rest of the issues can be resolved through negotiation,” the statement said.
“America threatened China with nuclear attack twice — similar to Trump’s recent nuclear threats against Iran — but when did Kissinger secretly meet with the Chinese and then negotiate? It was when China built the atomic bomb.
“Nuclear deterrence means that you can reach a balance of power against America and Israel, who possess atomic bombs — not so that war does not happen, but so that the scope of conflict remains controllable.”
The US wants Iran to pause all nuclear enrichment for at least 20 years, and has asked the country to allow independent inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) into the country’s facilities.
However, many believe that the majority of Iran’s enriched uranium, which is needed for nuclear weapons, is hidden away.
“The government of Iran has affirmed quite clearly that (developing nuclear weapons) is not their intention, but of course, intentions are not enough,” IAEA Director-General Rafael Grossi said in mid June.
“In order to have certainty, we need to have a very strong system of verification as soon as practicable.”
The IAEA is expected to be allowed into Iran in September.
