Mark Latham allegedly escorted from Royal Randwick Racecourse by police

Embattled MP Mark Latham has allegedly been escorted off the grounds of Sydney’s Royal Randwick Racecourse by police.
It’s understood former Labor leader Mr Latham, 64, was allegedly asked to leave the racecourse grounds by management on Saturday afternoon.

Management then contacted police, who allegedly walked Mr Latham from the grounds.
It’s understood Mr Latham was allegedly not permitted to be on the grounds after he previously resigned his membership.
He was also subject to a Racing NSW disciplinary hearing last month after allegedly verbally abusing a staff member at the Rosehill Racecourse earlier in the year, The Daily Telegraph reported.

A NSW Police spokesperson said ATC officials requested a 64-year-old man be removed from the members area about 1.45pm on Saturday afternoon.
“The man complied and there is no further police action,” the spokesperson said.
NewsWire has contacted Mr Latham for comment.
He took to social media platform X on Saturday evening where he claimed he had not been banned from any racecourses.

Mr Latham also claimed he had attended Rosehill Racecourse four weeks ago as the guest of another ATC member without issue.
He chalked the matter up to “payback” for opposing a proposal to sell Rosehill Racecourse so it could be used for housing.
“This is simply vicious payback for stopping the sale of Rosehill,” Mr Latham wrote to X.
