Select residents in the region last week participated in the annual WorkABILITY Day, which helps to bring together employers with employees.

A Forrest Personnel initiative, the event held on Wednesday was aimed at promoting awareness that those with health conditions, including mental illness, disability or injury, can still bring a range of skills and experiences to a workplace.

Both the employer and the job seeker can experience what it is like to be assisted by Forrest Personnel through the induction process, be supported on the day and help create potential opportunities.

Forrest Personnel chief executive Anna Bagshaw said the organisation was delighted to be working with a broad group of employers this year.
