Man, woman found dead in Doolandella home in suspected murder-suicide identified as Natasha Nibizi, Habib Bayat

A man and woman found dead in a home southwest of Brisbane in a suspected murder-suicide have been identified. Natasha Nibizi, 29, and her husband Habibullah Bayat were found deceased in the Doolandella home about 7pm on Tuesday after police received a “welfare call” for the Redhead St address that evening. Police have remained tight-lipped surrounding details of the event, including whether it is domestic violence-related or if it is indeed a murder-suicide. They only confirmed on Wednesday their deaths were being treated as suspicious. A video from one of Ms Nibizi’s social media pages reveals her heading off on a holiday with her partner in tow, posted just over a month before she was found dead. Others include a clip of her dancing at what appears to be their wedding, along with a range of selfies and pictures of her partying and celebrating with friends. Tributes have already started for Ms Nibizi since the sudden revelation from police.“Rest in pure peace my love,” one wrote on a TikTok clip of her on her wedding night. The couple’s mysterious deaths have prompted a plea from police to come forward with information. No one has been arrested and no charges have been laid. “The clear message at the moment is just to assure the community as well, we are not looking for anyone else that is involved in this,” Detective Inspector Michael Hogan told media on Wednesday. “If anyone has information that could assist the investigators, if they could come forward to police.” Inspector Hogan said police identified two other male individuals who reside at the property but were not home at the time of the deaths. “I can confirm they are not suspects and we’re not considering they had any involvement in the death,” he said. The men are assisting police with inquiries. Inspector Hogan refused to comment on the state the bodies were found in or the nature of any potential injuries sustained by the man or woman. He did not confirm whether a weapon might have been used or located at the property. A post-mortem examination of the couple will be performed at a later date.
