The Princess of Wales has issued an apology for her Mother’s Day photo, which five photography agencies pulled because it shows Kate posing with her children without a wedding ring.

In a social media post to X, Catherine wrote: “Like many amateur photographers, I do occasionally experiment with editing. I wanted to express my apologies for any confusion the family photograph we shared yesterday caused.”

“I hope everyone celebrating had a very happy Mother’s Day. C”

The photograph, reportedly taken by Prince William, was shared to Instagram for a Mother’s Day post with royal watchers quick to realise Kate was not wearing her wedding ring in the photo.
