Police call for witnesses as motorcyclist critically injured in Esperance collision

A 51-year-old motorcyclist has been airlifted to Perth with critical injuries after colliding with a car in Esperance.

Major Crash officers are calling for witnesses to the incident which occurred just before 5pm Tuesday evening.

Police say a black Honda motorcycle and black Hyundai Tucson crashed at the intersection of Fisheries and Goldfields roads.

The collision left the 51yo male motorcyclist with critical injuries, while the 19yo Tucson driver was not injured.

The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Esperance Hospital before being airlifted by the Royal Flying Doctor Service to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
