Railways are pulling no punches under new coach Brendan Ryan, with the squad last weekend emerging with eight goal kickers in a 129-point win against Kambalda, 19.21 (135) to 1.0 (6), to remain undefeated in the Goldfields Football League’s women’s competition.

The Panthers’ third victory was underpinned by an 11-goal second half that boosted their percentage to a whopping 2508.33.

Teenager Amelia Pettit was the game’s leading forward with four goals, from Ella Pumpa and Marley Kelman (three each).

Three others — Drew Epis, Mikeyiah Bennell, and Amie Reid — each contributed two goals for the red-and-blacks who have so far conceded just two goals.

Railways’ multiple scoring avenues is reflected with six players among the top-10 goal kickers.

Pettit and teammate Paris Ulijn are tied for the lead, alongside Kalgoorlie’s Wiebke Piringer, each with eight goals.

The squad’s biggest test so far will be this Saturday at Digger Daws Oval against defending premiers Mines Rovers, who are also unbeaten.
